Erik Schrama
Erik Schrama is a writer, translator and political activist. He is the author of Olympus, a novel critiquing the EU’s present failures and exploring Europe’s future.
He is the founder of European Action, a citizens’ initiative and pressure group advocating the democratisation of the European Union, and het Aksiekomitee, a socially conservative, pro-democracy citizens’ initiative active in the Netherlands and Flanders. Schrama has served as a recognised shadow rapporteur on genetically modified organisms at the European Parliament.
With longstanding ties to South Africa, he now lives with his family in the Eastern Cape, where they are working to establish a self-sufficient, off-grid farmstead.
